A Circus Themed Room

NT-CSCircusDoes your child love the circus? My son’s class took a field trip to the circus and I have never seen so many wide eyed kids. My kids love everything there is about the circus; the popcorn, flying acrobats, juggling clowns, and the trick bikers. My child loved the circus so much when he came home he wanted to decorate his rooms in a circus type of theme. We shopped for circus lamps, circus bookshelves and a canopy to go over the bed just like the circus’ big top canopy.

A great addition to a circus themed room is a personalized circus car set for their room. Along with your child’s name you can include, Leonardo Lion, Jordan Giraffe, Elmer Elephant and a Circus Wagon. This would be a toy they won’t out grow, even if they give up the circus theme in their room. This personalized train will be something they treasure for years to come.

Trains, Trains and more Trains

Kids love trains. I am not sure if it is the sheer size of trains or the noise they make, either way I have yet to meet a kid that does not like trains at one point of their life. My nephew is one of these kids, he loves trains. He obsesses over trains. He would spend every minute setting up and organizing his various train sets, just so he can make his train travel around the track. He has train plates, train cups, even train pj’s.

I think this Auntie is going to get him a personalized magnetic train set that spells out his name. These personalized name trains come with a caboose and engine also. Each of the wood train pieces are compatible with wooden train tracks. This is a great interactive toy for my nephew; he will be learning the letters of his name while playing with his favorite toy. I also think this would be a toy he will keep even after his fascination with trains wane.

Learning Letters

Parents who teach the alphabet to their children at an early age give them a jump start into educational learning. This leads to being a self-confidant learner. The best place to start is the letters in their name. Researches have found babies fully recognize their own name by six months, then as they grow they learn to recognize their own written name. By pre-school they are learning the individual letters and soon begin to write.

Children are full of energy so providing educational toys makes learning fun. One of the best methods of learning is having parents down on the floor, teaching children their letters while playing with toys. Saying and spelling out the child’s name make them feel special and unique. train

Consider buying a bucket of alphabets letters to play with, or magnetic letters that attach to the refrigerator. Toys as fun as a train that spell out their name, will provide endless playtime along with learning.

What ever way you decide to teach your child their letters, just remember to have fun!
