When I Grow Up
Ask a child “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and you’re likely to get a variety of answers from a mommy to a doctor to an astronaut to a fireman or maybe even a professional baseball player or a teacher. Kids pick up things here and there and learn about the different careers that are possible for them to achieve by what they hear adults around them say.
Do you encourage your child to be anything that they want to be when they grow up. Do they understand that they can be whatever they set their mind to achieve. It is great for kids to dream about their futures and it’s importantt for them to understand that they have control over their future and can choose to become anything they want to be.
I know that my mom and dad always taught me to dream big and reach for the stars. I hope to do this for my children too, no matter what they ultimately choose to become.
