The Perfect Tote Bag

ToteFootball is in full swing in my household. Every Saturday our family can be found pitching our tent and enjoying a day’s worth of Pop-Warner games. This year has been very exciting my middle son made his first field goal points and my oldest was promoted to a starting position. As I mother I want to remember these years.

One of the best ways to memorialize these special achievements for your child through a personalized photo tapestries tote bag. When we head out on Saturdays I have to make sure I have my water bottle and snacks, along with miscellaneous items they use during the game. This tote is helpful in keeping everything together but also allows you as a parent to show off your child and their accomplishments. Each picture is woven into a tapestry and then attached to each side of the tote bag. If you have more than one child, you can proudly display a child on each side. A perfect tool to have when you head to the next football game.

A Blanket Preserving Memories

blanketAlmost every summer our family travels north to Minnesota so the boys can do some bass fishing. This is a tradition that has been in my husband’s family for over three generations. A perfect time for the family to come together, away the stress’ of life and spend time on a beautiful lake. The boys head out each day in hopes of coming home with that day’s bragging rights of catching the biggest fish.

Our family is always sad when we have to return and dream of the day when we can return. One of the best ways to remember a special place or time is to have one of your pictures turned into a personalized blanket or throw. Remember an engagement, a graduation, or even a picture of someone special. Feelings will come flooding back while wrapped up in this intricate woven photo blanket. What a great way to preserve special family memories.

The Rewards of Hockey

Hockey is a sport that is hard work but has its rewards as a sport. Many kids begin playing hockey as young as 6 years old and just like swimming many of the practices are early in the morning. Just like it was watching your young child learning how to walk, you will become amazed watching your kid make his way around the rink. It is fun watching their team play in various tournaments. Just like other sports, hockey teaches a kid character, time management, and being a good sport.

Sometimes families have to travel great distances to arrive at the scheduled hockey game. While riding in the car a personalized hockey CD would be great in getting your kid mentally prepared. The personalized CD will have your child competing for the Stanley Cup while hearing the professional announcers calling out their name. What a perfect gift for your little hockey player.

Trains, Trains and more Trains

Kids love trains. I am not sure if it is the sheer size of trains or the noise they make, either way I have yet to meet a kid that does not like trains at one point of their life. My nephew is one of these kids, he loves trains. He obsesses over trains. He would spend every minute setting up and organizing his various train sets, just so he can make his train travel around the track. He has train plates, train cups, even train pj’s.

I think this Auntie is going to get him a personalized magnetic train set that spells out his name. These personalized name trains come with a caboose and engine also. Each of the wood train pieces are compatible with wooden train tracks. This is a great interactive toy for my nephew; he will be learning the letters of his name while playing with his favorite toy. I also think this would be a toy he will keep even after his fascination with trains wane.

Teaching Kids about Jesus

Kids learn a great amount of wisdom from hearing their parents talk. Teaching your little one about Jesus is something you integrate into daily life and daily conversations. One of the ways of doing this is being specific in thanking Him for your blessings and the care he gives you. Another way is by playing music that tells them about Jesus’ love for them.

Anyone who grew up in Sunday school may not remember all the lessons but I bet they remember a few of the songs. Songs like “Jesus Loves the Little Children”, “Jesus Loves Me” and “This Little Light of Mine” are some of the few we remember a lifetime. Personalized Jesus Loves You musical CD will bring these truths to life for your child. They will not only hear music sung just to them but also how much they are loved. So if you are looking for new ways to teach your kids about Jesus, a personalized CD is something they will love.

Baby’s First Christmas

ornamentThis year was the year for babies around my family. Our extended family grew by 4 new babies. What a blessing! I remember as a first time Mom the baby’s first Christmas was special. I made each of my kids a special stocking to hang and each wore a new Christmas outfit. A baby’s first Christmas only comes around once so make it a day for memories. As an Aunt what do you get a new niece or nephew for their first Christmas?

How about a personalized baby ornament? Each ornament is Hand Painted and Hand Lettered. This will be something the parents will cherish for years to come! Now that my kids are older each Christmas when I hang the ornaments they received as a baby brings the memories of that special Christmas rushing back. These ornaments would make great gifts for grandparents also!

Golfing Against Jack Nicklaus

jackThis summer my youngest son traveled to Minnesota with his grandparents. While visiting he picked up the love for golf. With any 10 year old you want to see how far this new found “love” is until you begin to pay for things, like golf clubs. But as the summer worn on, he still talked non-stop about golf. So on his birthday he got a child’s size set of real golf clubs.

When he returned from his trip I could not take him over to the golf course fast enough. He has been hitting at the shooting range and he did his first nine holes. I think this is a hobby that is going to stick. I saw this personalized CD that has your child taking on the legendary Jack Nicklaus the “Golden Bear.” This would be the prefect gift for my son whose new found love is golf. He will be able to hear his name and envision himself again one of the greatest golf legends.

Something Little for People who Make a Big Difference

ornamentChristmas is going to be here before you know it. I know Fall is beginning and the leaves are beginning to change, but it is also the perfect time to begin your Christmas shopping list. One of the more difficult things to do is to try to find something for that special teacher or special Sunday school teacher. You only can give them so many apples, ha. May I suggest a personalized Christmas ornament. This is an ornament that has the child’s name on it.

I remember during Christmas time, even after my Grandmother had retired as a school teacher, she was always telling stories about some of her students. Every year for Christmas she had special ornaments or trinkets she brought out. They always made her smile and reminded her of special students she had. A little personalized angel ornament would be perfect for a Sunday school teacher or youth worker. These are the perfect small gifts that lead to a lifetime of memories.

That’s Mine!

shareOne of the first things toddlers learn is the word, “mine.” They would like to think that everything they pick up is theirs. During this phase the kids are learning about social skills and sharing. To expect toddlers to be happy about sharing is a little far-fetched. Parents need to have realistic expectations during this time. One of the ways parents can teach kids to share is by modeling it themselves. It is a difficult phase to get through.

On the other hand, not everything should be a battle during this phase and by allowing them certain things that are theirs gives them as sense of security. For example a personalized mug with their name on it. Every day for dinner or lunch they are allow to use their own mug, with their name on it. This allows parents to teach them what areas we share and what is theirs. Also toddlers learn to recognize the letters in their name. So even though teaching a toddler to share is one of the many important —yet difficult— stages, sometimes it is nice to have an area where you know there won’t be a battle.

Music Helps Develop Cognitive Abilities

The exposure to music has many benefits to your child’s development. Studies have shown that music help kids develop logic abilities. Learning to read is a form of rhythm for example Dr. Seuss. When kids can pick our words in a song they have gained a very important skill. Personalized music is beneficial for babies and toddlers because one of the first things they learn is their name. When they hear their name through the rhythm of music it develops the cognitive ability they will need when learning how to read.

Music also allows them to explore sounds with their voices and to use instruments in their play. This develops their tempo and rhythmic patterns. Music also allows babies and toddlers to express their inner perceptions and thoughts, even before they can articulate how they are feeling. The most important thing of all is that music is fun! There are many games you can play with your child while incorporating music and developing their cognitive ability.
