Music Helps Creative Play in Kids
Creative play is beneficial to a child’s development. Creativity allows them to dream and allows them the ability to see things from a different point of view. One of the best way for children to express themselves is by way of dramatic play. It helps kids understand the world around them by developing and expressing their feelings and personality.
As a parent or teacher providing props stimulate this kind of drama. Not only can props help, but music can help them imagine themselves as train engineer, teacher, or airplane pilot, etc.. There are also personalized music CD’s where they hear their name while stimulating their imagination. If your child is pretending to be a teacher having the personalized CD along with props will help them see things from a teacher’s perspective. This facilitates problem solving and understanding how the world around them works.
