Rocking To Lullabies
When I brought home my first newborn baby, I was not sure what I was doing. Being a mother has many challenges. Why are they crying? If I only knew what they wanted I would help them.
Even if the whole day was chaotic, the best time both baby and I had was in the rocking chair singing lullabies. While I sang lullabies I would add their name while singing; now there are personalized lullaby CD’s you can sing along with that adds your baby’s name to the lullaby. Want to know a secret, I did not even mind rocking in the middle of the night. This special bonding with my baby, made all the hard times worth it.
Through lullabies the baby learns the mother’s voice, and in return relaxes them so they can fall asleep. Also during this special time you are gaining confidence in yourself as a parent. Even though you go through the day sleep deprived, cherish these moments of rocking and singing lullabies to your baby. Before you know it they won’t need these moments anymore.
