Learning Letters
Parents who teach the alphabet to their children at an early age give them a jump start into educational learning. This leads to being a self-confidant learner. The best place to start is the letters in their name. Researches have found babies fully recognize their own name by six months, then as they grow they learn to recognize their own written name. By pre-school they are learning the individual letters and soon begin to write.
Children are full of energy so providing educational toys makes learning fun. One of the best methods of learning is having parents down on the floor, teaching children their letters while playing with toys. Saying and spelling out the child’s name make them feel special and unique.
Consider buying a bucket of alphabets letters to play with, or magnetic letters that attach to the refrigerator. Toys as fun as a train that spell out their name, will provide endless playtime along with learning.
What ever way you decide to teach your child their letters, just remember to have fun!
